Where we come from
Our Managing Director, Cameron, started his plumbing apprenticeship in 2009 straight after school after realising his love for it after work experience. Plumbing runs in the family, from Grandpa’s day until now, with Cameron being a 3rd generation plumber.
In fact, you’ll find plumbers in the family all over Australia – from Melbourne to Perth!
Cameron saw the plumbing industry at its finest and worst during his 5 years working for and contracting to various companies. Sick of seeing plumbing companies focused only on making a dollar, Cameron decided to go out on his own.
Aptus Water & Gas proudly puts quality workmanship and customer service first. We believe in ensuring everyone in the community has access to important services, so we happily look after our senior citizens with discounts, ensuring everyone is happy with our work done!
Why we are called ‘Aptus’
Aptus is Latin for suitable, appropriate or fitting. It’s where the word ‘Apt’ comes from.
Because we focus first on quality and customer satisfaction, bringing craft to our trade, we are called Aptus!
In fact, the word ‘plumber’ also comes from the Latin word ‘plumbum’, which is the name given to the lead used in Roman pipes! Thankfully we no longer use lead pipes (as they’re toxic to our health) but the craft of pipe building and installation stems from Roman times!
